Italian Buffalo Trial

In 2017 one of Italy's top buffalo farms compared using the Milk Bar™ System and their existing fast teat system.

Calves were feed 3.5L of milk replacer twice a day.

Water and starter ration were available ad libitum.

Calves were housed individually and fed from a single teat feeder.

    Calves fed from Milk Bar™ Teats were weaned on average five days earlier than those fed from the faster teat and were on average of 12kg heavier! Earlier weaning reduces cost and time.

  • Calves fed from a fast flow teat

    Lower daily gains and longer rearing period increases costs.
