Calf Buddy™ Training Teat

The softer formulation makes training young or weak calves easy.

Fit the Calf Buddy™ Training Teat to a hutch bucket and use this as a training feeder.

You can train around 20 calves before the teat needs replacing.

When calves are drinking strongly, transition them to a new Calf Buddy™ Teat. This teat stays with the calf until weaning.

The Calf Buddy™ Teat system has no threads or valves so it is very hygienic.

Click the Calf Buddy™ Training Teat to the Calf Buddy™ Connector and pull through your bucket.

Once in place, you do not need to remove the teat for cleaning as the hygienic connection system prevents milk becoming trapped.

Made from renewable, high quality natural rubber, Calf Buddy™ Teats are kinder to the environment. Natural rubber absorbs the milk fat and protein which can cause the teats to become softer and start to drip. The milk flow can become faster, decreasing calf performance.

Recommended cleaning: Use a dishwashing detergent, or any other non-chlorine/ chloride dairy detergent twice a week. Important! Chlorine/chloride based dairy detergents degrade natural rubber which reduces teat life by 60%!.

Rinse your teats with water.
Use a gentle detergent, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not use Chlorine/chloride based dairy detergents!
Using a brush, lightly scrub the outside of the teats making sure to bend the teats. By bending the teats, any milk gets pushed back inside the feeder so the detergent can make contact with the inside of the teat wall.
Rinse clean.
